Job Description
Site Locations: Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Assam
Site Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the on-site planning, coordination, and execution of pump storage projects. This role ensures seamless alignment with organizational goals while managing on-site resources, supervising contractors and vendors, managing key stakeholders (internal and externals), mitigating risks, and monitoring project progress to ensure successful, timely, and cost-effective project delivery at the site.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Execution
- Oversee all site activities from pre-construction to commissioning.
- Ensure alignment with project plans, approved drawings, method statements technical specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with EPC contractors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth execution.
- Maintain a dynamic risk register and ensure regular updates based on project progress and stakeholder inputs.
- Identify potential risks (technical, financial, environmental) and develop mitigation strategies.

Project Performance & Budgeting
- Monitor project milestones, cost performance, and resource utilization.
- Implement corrective actions to address deviations from budget or schedule.
- Timely reporting of project performance dashboards and financial reports to the management.
Safety and quality at Project Site
- Enforce robust safety and quality management systems across all site operations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory safety norms and internal quality standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and quality inspections.
- Drive a culture of zero harm and continuous improvement in workmanship.
- Identify potential hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions based on safety and quality observations.
- Facilitate training programs to enhance awareness and accountability among site personnel.
Stakeholder & Team Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government authorities, local communities, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate timely approvals, resolve site-level issues, and ensure transparent communication.
- Eure timely identification, requirement planning, and placement of project personnel as per site needs and the approved organogram.
CSR Initiative
- Identify and implement CSR programs that benefit local communities.
- Collaborate with NGOs and local authorities for sustainable development.
- Track impact and ensure alignment with corporate CSR goals.
Team Engagement & Development
- Lead, mentor, and motivate site teams to achieve project goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Education Qualification
B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a specialization in hydropower.
Work Experience
- 18+ years of experience in large scale hydropower projects.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale hydropower projects, managing project teams, and ensuring project delivery on time and within budget.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, quality assurance principles, and financial management.
