Job Description
Job Summary
The Software Developer role contributes to the design, development, testing and maintenance of education and administrative platforms. The Software Developer collaborates closely with Project and Technical Leads, Project team, and partners to deliver secure, reliable and user‑focused applications. This position is responsible for programming, debugging, documenting and supporting the software development lifecycle while ensuring best practices in data privacy, security and development standards.
Reports to the Manager, Research Data Services in the Faculty of Medicine, Digital Solutions, Research Data Management portfolio.
Integral member of a software development team.
Works with Technical and Project Leads to plan software projects.
Specific Duties
- Work as part of a software development team.
- Design, develop, test, maintain and support our platforms and solutions for educational and administrative services.
- Follow best practices to ensure data privacy and security.
- Participate in refinement, estimation and planning.
- Demo features and fixes for stakeholders.
- Contribute to documenting our processes, designs, and guidelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain appropriate professional designations and knowledge.
- Works with partners to design, develop and support our education and administrative platform and solutions.

- Prepare programming documentation for supported programs.
