Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM
Location: Onsite at local clinical sites
Pay: Starting from $85,000

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Sonographer Instructor will be responsible for delivering engaging instruction, assisting students with course material, and facilitating hands-on training in OB clinical settings. The ideal candidate is committed to student success, knowledgeable in ultrasound imaging techniques, and skilled in fostering an interactive learning environment.
Prepare and set up skills lab exercises and competencies.
Coordinate with faculty to ensure lab equipment and supplies are available as needed.
Assist students in understanding course material and using ultrasound equipment.
Provide hands-on practice opportunities in clinical settings.
Offer tutoring support for coursework and technical skills.
Maintain lab cleanliness and ensure a safe working environment.
Evaluate student performance, provide timely feedback, and maintain accurate course records.
Participate in curriculum review, instructional material selection, and program assessment activities.
Stay current with industry advancements and integrate innovative teaching methods
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Work Experience
2+ years working experience as an OB Sonographer.
Required Skills
Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMS).
Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
Preferred Skills
Bachelor's degree
Posseses an excellent academic record and have experience teaching ultrasound techniques at the college level, including in a clinical environment.
Exhibit knowledge of current diagnostic medical sonography, lab components, and clinical practice in the subject matter to be taught (e.g., medical terminology, radiographic math and physics, patient healthcare issues, patient communication and interactions, fluoroscopy, image production, proper radiographic and anatomical positioning, quality management).
Experience with radiology information systems (RIS) (e.g., Epic, PACS) and health informatics with knowledge and compliance of standards of confidentiality (HIPAA).
Possess the ability to assume responsibility and accountability for instruction, evaluation of students, and planning and implementing curriculum content in the subject area.
Demonstrate a commitment to student learning and success.
Demonstrate the development, understanding, and experience teaching and assessing student learning outcomes (PLOs, CSLOs, and SLOs)
Ability to work effectively with computers, augmented and virtual reality, and other forms of innovative technology in the instruction of Radiography courses.
Possess a commitment to collegiality within the instructional environment by interacting effectively with colleagues and maintaining active participation in departmental meetings and committees.
Able to establish positive relationships and maintain collegiality with college personnel, department faculty, and staff, and clinical and/or community partnerships.
Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, and ethnic backgrounds of college faculty, staff, and students.
