Responsibilities
- Provide contemporary inpatient and outpatient specialist gastroenterology clinical services for optimal patient outcomes within MNCLHD, specifically the Hastings Macleay Clinical Network (HMCN).
- Work full‑time (1 FTE) with consideration for fractional appointment or job‑sharing arrangements on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Base primarily at Port Macquarie Base Hospital, with attendance at and advice to Kempsey District Hospital and/or other peripheral hospitals, community services and/or clinics as required.
- Potential managerial allowance may be considered for the right senior candidate.
- Provide education and training of medical and nursing staff, including junior medical officers and registrars within the department.
- Contribute and engage positively with the Head of Department of Medicine HMCN, relevant NUM and nursing staff, and allied health staff to deliver high‑quality and safe clinical services.
- Participate in clinical governance, planning, development and delivery of safe, high‑quality, contemporary, comprehensive services at the primary facility and other facilities where applicable, for optimal patient outcomes and a healthy community through quality care.
Requirements
Employment with Mid North Coast LHD requires candidates to hold a valid authority to work in Australia (Aust Work Rights Visa).
