Staff Trial Attorney

Now Hiring!!!* We are seeking a Staff Attorney to become a part of our team! You will represent clients in civil legal proceedings including trials, draw up legal documents, and advise clients on legal transactions related to civil defense litigation. *General Duties:* * Staff Counsel trial Attorney job duties include defending company-insured clients or the organization itself in civil litigation, insurance defense, and personal injury cases. * Manage full caseloads from discovery through trial. * Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery documents; conduct legal research and handle expert witness retention. * Develop litigation strategies, conduct settlement negotiations, and report case progress to claims associates and clients. * Represent clients and the company in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and mediations. *Qualifications for this position:* * Member in good standing with the State Bar of California * Minimum 1 year of civil litigation experience, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience * Strong research and writing skills and excellent work ethic required * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required *Skills necessary for this position:* * Superior awareness of and compliance with all applicable rules of professional conduct * Substantial experience in civil litigation, preferably insurance defense litigation, including jury trial experience * Comprehensive legal knowledge which promotes standards of professional practice and strong knowledge of the litigation environment in California Job Type: Full-Time Work Location: In-Person Benefits: * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance #Legal Job Type: Full-time Pay: $105,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year Benefits: * 401(k) * 401(k) matching * Dental insurance * Health insurance * Health savings account * Life insurance * Paid time off * Vision insurance Work Location: In person
