Starlink Warehouse Associate (Temporary) This Warehouse Associate position supports the Starlink product factory. As Starlink continues to grow, we are expanding our inventory operation specifically for Starlink products. An inventory specialist is responsible for completing putaways for inbound material, picking products for production, filling the lineside build locations with material, putting finished goods into inventory, picking finished goods for customer orders, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities include receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials, parts, details, and hardware to support shop operations; storing parts and materials in bins, drawers, and racks, identifying parts and stored location; performing picking function to make up necessary kits of parts, material, and hardware as required, ascertaining that all parts are available and accounted for in kit; maintaining strict material handling practices in accordance with procedures; monitoring shelf-life storage and maintaining proper rotation of stock; verifying all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers, quantity and, revisions; issuing material against approved paperwork such as affixing verification and traceability on required serialized parts before issuing; fulfilling orders for both domestic and international consumers and enterprises; validating lot trace; performing cycle counts; performing good housekeeping chores in area; supporting the organization's metric goals and objectives; and abiding by all procedures, desk instructions, and standard operating documents. This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate. Length of position: 3 months Location: Hawthorne Shift: 1st shift - Mon-Fri 4:00 am - 2:30 pm / 2nd shift - Mon-Fri 4:00 pm - 2:30 am Basic qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and 1+ years of inventory control experience.
Preferred skills and experience include a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of inventory control experience in a warehouse, ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.), excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), experience and understanding of inventory and kitting processes, experience operating a forklift and other related inventory equipment, and experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic fields. Additional requirements include being available for at least one of the following shifts: weekday (Monday - Friday): 1st shift 4:00 am - 2:30 pm or weekday (Monday - Friday): 2nd shift 4:00 pm - 2:30 am; being able to lift up to 25lbs; and being willing to work in an open-aired environment, lacking temperature controls and to work overtime and/or weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines. Compensation and benefits include a pay range of $22.00/hour for Starlink Warehouse Associate/Level 1.
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience. Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package at SpaceX.
