Overview Christie's, the world’s largest art business, is looking for a Studio Manager to support the Head of Studio and Creative Operations. The role oversees studio traffic, team resourcing, brief intake, budgeting, freelancers and production processes. Responsibilities Resourcing and Workflow Manage all incoming creative requests via Monday.com.
Prioritise projects based on deadlines and business needs. Ensure brief intake is to standard and actionable before allocation. Identify bottlenecks and additional resource needs.
Allocate projects to creatives based on capacity and skill set. Provide real‑time operational problem‑solving to keep projects on track. Maintain team holiday calendar in accordance with project resourcing.
Studio Team Management & Freelance Support Recruit, book and negotiate day rates for freelancers. Maintain studio freelancer database. Ensure all creative timesheets are completed and support approvals.
Work with external agencies to provide required documentation. Onboard new freelancers and external partners. Provide tools and resources to enable team delivery.
Support senior planning (team social events and offsites). Creative Operations and Processes Continuously refine workflow processes to drive efficiency. Support implementation of new systems, templates and tools.
Coordinate meetings, schedules and agendas. Maintain clear documentation of workflows, standards and procedures. Champion consistent ways of working across teams.
Identify opportunities for AI within Creative Operations. Manage copyright tracking, usage rights and imagery clearances. Support IT, HR and general business requests.
Financial & Budget Management Assist with managing the studio budget. Track freelance spend, raise POs and process invoices. Provide weekly and monthly studio budget updates.
Negotiate vendor rates to secure value and compliance. Identify cost savings and resource efficiency opportunities. Skills & Experience 5–8+ years of proven experience in creative operations at an agency or in‑house.
Understanding of project management and shoot production. Excellent creative team resourcing skills in fast‑paced environments. Strong understanding of in‑house Creative Studios covering all channel outputs.
Experience with project management platforms (Monday.com, Asana, Trello, etc.). Coordination, communication, scheduling and multitasking abilities. Comfortable liaising with external partners, negotiating fees and managing budgets.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Figma Slides workflows. Experience in arts, luxury, cultural or fast‑paced creative environments preferred. What You’ll Bring to the Team Strong desire to work in an energetic, fast‑paced in‑house Creative Studio.
