Location: Chennai only

Basic Requirement: Excellent English Communication, Counseling skills and strong interest in the education industry.
About the Role:
The Study Abroad Counsellor will guide students aspiring to pursue higher education overseas by providing accurate information, personalized counselling, and end-to-end support through the admissions process. The role demands both empathy and sales acumen, helping students make informed decisions while meeting enrollment goals.
What you will do:
- Counsel students and parents on study-abroad opportunities across destinations like the USA, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, and Australia.
- Evaluate student profiles and recommend suitable universities, courses, and scholarship options.
- Guide students through documentation, applications, and offer acceptance processes.
- Maintain consistent communication through WhatsApp, email, and phone to ensure a smooth student experience.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly enrollment and revenue targets.
- Maintain detailed records of leads, follow-ups, and conversions in CRM systems.
- Stay updated on global education trends, admission timelines, and country-specific requirements.
- Build strong rapport with students, parents, and institutional partners to enhance trust and referrals.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- 0–1 year experience in study abroad, education counselling, ed-tech, admissions, sales, or customer-facing roles.
- Freshers with strong communication skills and willingness to learn are welcome.
- Basic awareness of international education destinations is preferred; detailed training will be provided.
- Interest in working with students and parents.
Skills Required:
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Tamil communication is essential.
- Strong counselling, listening, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain information clearly to students and parents.
- Good follow-up discipline and responsiveness.
- Target-oriented approach with a student-first mindset.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office, Google Sheets, email, WhatsApp, and CRM tools.
- Organised, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to attend student/parent calls during required counselling hours.
