The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of healthcare construction projects, including medical office buildings (MOB), imaging centers, exam rooms, operating rooms (OR), emergency rooms (ER), and additions and renovations. This role also involves ground-up construction and project management, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent for Healthcare Construction, your daily responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing all aspects of healthcare construction projects, including planning, coordinating, and supervising onsite functions such as scheduling, material control, and day-to-day direction of field personnel.
2. Managing the construction of MOBs, imaging centers, exam rooms, ORs, ERs, and other healthcare facilities.
3. Leading ground-up construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
4. Coordinating with project management to ensure that each project is executed successfully and meets the client's expectations.
5. Implementing and enforcing safety measures and protocols to ensure the safety of all workers and the project site.
6. Conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes, and safety regulations.
7. Managing project budget and resource allocation, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
8. Resolving any issues or challenges that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Superintendent for Healthcare Construction role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare facilities.
2. Proven experience in managing the construction of MOBs, imaging centers, exam rooms, ORs, ERs, and other healthcare facilities.
3. Solid experience in ground-up construction and project management.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, guide, and direct a team to achieve project goals.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address and resolve project-related issues effectively and efficiently.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with team members, project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
8. A degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
