Job Description
Job Title The incumbent will provide customer support to the FOS Director, FOS leaders, other FSC managers, supervisors, staff, and stations. The primary customers are Veteran Health Administration (VHA), National Cemetery Administration (NCA), Veteran Benefits Administration (VBA), and other federal agencies that provides support to VA stations. The incumbent will be responsible to manage and supervise a remote team of full-time equivalents (FTEs) ranging from GS-7 through GS-11 levels and contractors in support of operations in CECD by supporting the integration of the Integrated Financial and Acquisition Management System (iFAMS), Financial Management System (FMS), and Invoice Payment and Processing System (IPPS) to include different systems that support FOS to include updating/maintaining operations procedures.
Perform administrative and personnel management functions relative for assigned staff. Establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. Observe workers performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques.
Set performance standards, rate employees, and review evaluations made by supervisors of other employees. Interview and select supervisory and other direct-report personnel. Provide training, approve leave, and advise subordinates.
Exercise authority for a full range of personnel actions and proposals recommended by subordinate supervisors (e.g., suspensions, removals, grievances, incentive awards, etc.). Work Schedule: Mon- Fri 8:00am - 4:30pm Compressed/Flexible: Available with supervisory approval. Telework: Ad hoc telework (situational telework) available as determined by the agency policy.
