Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Hub Team Lead, the role will be responsible to partner with business and HR leaders to provide technical expertise, solutions and Talent Acquisition support within a Country/Hub to attract, develop and retain the appropriate workforce to deliver the business strategy. The role will support the development of GBS Talent Acquisition & Talent Advancement expert services within the Country/Hub and implement the Global Talent Function strategy to deliver solutions to talent challenges.
The work model for the role is: Hybrid out of Cary, NC
Your role and responsibilities:
- Collaborate with hiring managers and HR leaders to understand staffing needs and role requirements.
- Conducts search within internal ABB talent pools and external talent pools to ensure internal career and development opportunities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
- Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and manage candidate communications throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
- Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) - Workday.
- Ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience from application to onboarding.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to leadership.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
Challenges:
- Working in a complex and dynamic global organization with the on‑going ABB-OS Transformation and the evolving HR service delivery model.
- Balancing external market pressure and demand for talent and internal demand for talent to be delivered with a timely and quality service.
- Ensuring delivery of services given the complex global internal processes and systems through collaboration across GBS, HRBPs, Sourcers and the Business.
- Working autonomously in location but as part of a regional cluster.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree with at 5+years’ professional Talent Acquisition experience in a high‑performing global organization, or an RPO (or similar) company.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with full lifecycle recruiting including job brief, developing sourcing/marketing plan, candidate outreach and development, offer and close.
- Workday experience highly preferred
- Demonstrated success with various recruiting strategies and techniques, including use of digital and social media; strategic mindset with a thorough understanding of business drivers and Talent Acquisition and Advancement trends within the US.
- Prior experience working across cultures and with multi-function stakeholders.
- Ability to network with and influence senior Business and HR leaders globally; exceptional communication skills, strong customer service orientation with proven consulting and influencing skills.
- Strong English language skills, both written and verbal.
