Position Details Work Location: Montréal, Quebec, Canada Hours: 35 Line Of Business: TD Insurance Pay Details: $66,800 – $94,300 CAD Job Description TD Insurance is part of TD Bank Group, one of Canada’s largest financial institutions. We help protect clients from the “accidents of life” through a wide range of insurance products and services, including credit protection, life, health, travel, home and auto insurance. You will be part of the Commercial Auto Claims team, supporting business customers during their most challenging moments, delivering legendary customer experiences and fostering a culture of learning and impact.
Responsibilities Support customers with timely, clear, and empathetic communication throughout the claims lifecycle. Investigate and resolve claims: gather, verify, and assess information from available sources to confirm coverage, evaluate liability, determine damages, and support fair and equitable claim resolutions. Apply technical claims expertise: review policies, contracts, appraisals, estimates, and supporting documentation to make sound decisions, establish appropriate reserves, and manage claim outcomes effectively.
Help manage risk: apply claims management principles, identify red flags, and follow established organizational processes. Collaborate for strong outcomes: work with claim management vendors, internal partners, and leaders to maintain service standards and resolve customer concerns. Contribute to an inclusive team culture: share knowledge, support a positive work environment, and act as a brand champion for TD Insurance.
Qualifications College or university degree, or an equivalent combination of education and related work experience. 1–2+ years of experience in Commercial Auto Claims or related claims experience. Ability to maintain required provincial licensing in good standing, including AMF commercial licensing where applicable. Bilingual in English and French (required).
Valid AMF claims adjuster license. Strong communication, customer service, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage difficult conversations professionally. Sound judgment, attention to detail, time management, and ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced claims environment.
General insurance knowledge and experience interpreting policies, coverage, and reserves. Experience working with vendors, repair partners, or internal business partners to resolve claims efficiently. Interest in ongoing professional development and participation in relevant claims capability programs.
