Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our warm team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance styles and possess the ability to teach students of all ages, from children to adults. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a love for dance, and ensuring a values-based and positive learning environment.

The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in developing students’ skills, confidence, and appreciation for the art of dance.

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach various dance styles, ensuring students grasp fundamental techniques and choreography.
• Create a supportive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes student engagement and growth.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
• Organize and prepare students for performances as needed.
• Collaborate with other instructors to develop curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
• Maintain a safe and clean studio environment conducive to learning.

Requirements

• Proven experience in dance instruction.
• Strong knowledge of dance techniques across any of these multiple styles (ballet, jazz, hip‑hop, acro, tap, contemporary, etc.).
• Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning is highly desirable.
• Background in theater or performing arts can enhance instructional delivery.
• Ability to engage effectively with students of all ages, including children and adults.
• Excellent communication skills, is reliable and responsible and has a passion for teaching dance.
