About the Role Be part of a dynamic team responsible for supporting new transactions across Macquarie's Commodities and Global Markets businesses. The team provides technical advice and guidance on the accounting treatments for transactions, ensuring they align with evolving standards and business objectives.
What role will you play? Partnering with a diverse range of stakeholders—including front office teams and senior management—you’ll identify, communicate, and manage opportunities to drive more efficient outcomes across the organisation. Collaborating closely with the broader Finance group, you’ll assess and manage risks associated with new proposals, ensuring alignment with Macquarie’s strategic objectives and risk appetite.
Salary and Incentives Salary range: $125,000 - $150,000 per year (actual base salary may vary based upon relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location). You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
What you offer
CPA qualification or equivalent.
Experience in accounting advisory or transaction advisory roles—ideally within banking, financial services, or commodities.
Strong knowledge of accounting for Financial Instruments and Revenue Recognition, plus exceptional communication skills, able to simplify complex accounting issues for diverse stakeholders.
A commercial mindset, translating accounting theory into practical, commercially viable solutions.
