Technical Project Manager - Data & Analytics

RoleWe are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong software development and Data Engineering background, along with a deep understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies. The ideal candidate should have prior experience as a software developer or data engineer, proficiency in one or more programming languages, and hands-on exposure to data engineering, data platforms, ETL/ELT, and software delivery processes. This is a leadership role that requires a strong combination of technical expertise, data engineering knowledge, and project management skills to drive successful delivery of complex technical projects.What You Will Do:

Lead and manage cross-functional engineering teams to deliver high-quality software anddata engineering projects .

Serve as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into effective technical anddata solutions .

Own theSoftware Development Lifecycle (SDLC)and project delivery lifecycle, ensuring Agile and Scrum best practices are followed.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog grooming, and demos.

Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and proactively resolve project issues and conflicts.

Oversee task breakdowns, sprint tracking, effort estimation, resource planning, and project timelines.

Collaborate withData Engineers, Developers, Architects, and Product teamsto ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

Drive projects involvingdata engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, data platforms, data warehouses, and data modernization initiatives .

Monitor engineering and project progress usingJIRA or equivalent Agile project management tools .

Ensure effective integration ofDevOps practices, data quality, testing strategies, deployment, and release management .Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or a related field .

8–15 years of experience , with at least4 years in a Technical Project Manager, Project Manager, or Scrum Master role , along with prior experience in software development or data engineering.

Strong technical background inData Engineering , with experience in one or more technologies such asETL/ELT, SQL, Python, Data Warehousing, Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, or similar platforms .

Strong understanding ofsoftware development, data engineering, system architecture, APIs, and development pipelines .

Hands-on exposure todata engineering projects, data platforms, data migration, or data modernizationis highly preferred.

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI-ACP, or equivalent Agile certification is mandatory.

Proficiency with project management tools such asJIRA, Confluence, Trello, or Azure DevOps .

Strong understanding ofAgile/Scrum methodologies, SDLC, project planning, risk management, and delivery management .

Strong stakeholder communication, team leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Exposure toAI/ML or Generative AI projectsis an added advantage.
