Telecom Network Engineer

We're looking for a Telecom Network Provisioning Engineer to join a major telecom networking programme in London on an initial 6-12 month contract. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone with strong optical transmission and IP networking experience, particularly around Ciena platforms.

You'll be involved in designing, configuring, testing and activating network services across optical and IP environments, working closely with engineering, operations and service delivery teams.

Key Skills:

Ciena 6500 and optical transmission networks

DWDM, ROADM and Flexgrid

L2/L3 networking

BGP and MPLS

Network provisioning and service activation

Routers, switches and multiplexers

Optical testing and performance monitoring

Network capacity planning and optimisation

Carrier-grade telecom environments

Technical documentation and network design

The role is based in London with regular office attendance required.
