As a TIG Welder, you'll be working on the welding and assembly of small aircraft components, ensuring every piece meets the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities: Set and operate TIG Welding equipment, demonstrating previous TIG welding experienceWeld aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel parts, including sub-assemblies, to rigorous standardsPerform spot welding and weld components using both manual and CNC equipment in various positionsCarry out brazing using high-temperature silver or low-temperature brass workWork independently, maintaining a neat and safe work environmentWeld parts using jigs or freehand, ensuring accuracy and consistencyComplete ancillary operations, including fettling, deburring, polishing, and cleaningRead and interpret engineering drawings, working within specified tolerancesMeasure, inspect, and log production data accurately within designated timeframesEnsure batch production complies with strict quality standardsSupport the team with other duties as needed, maintaining a flexible approach Profile of a Successful Candidate: Experience in TIG Welding, particularly with stainless steel and aluminium alloysFamiliarity with brazing and working with small componentsStrong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerancesAbility to work with minimal supervision and as part of a teamPrevious manufacturing experience, ideally within aerospace or similar sectorsEngaged, reliable, and eager to learn - full training providedAn engineering background or apprenticeship is advantageousCompetitive salary (£33,000 - £38,000) plus 20% shift allowanceFull training from in-house skilled weldersOpportunities for skill development within the aerospace manufacturing sectorWork in a friendly, supportive team environment37 hours per week on rotational day shifts, promoting work-life balanceIf you're ready to take your welding skills to the next level and work on exciting aerospace projects, don't wait!
