Imagine thisYou arrive to a line with variable throughput. By mid-day, you’ve completed a VSM, led a focused Kaizen on changeovers using SMED, and kicked off an SPC plan to monitor the new process. You close the loop with a DMAIC tollgate review, document Standard Work, and partner with maintenance to embed TPM pillars that sustain the gains.
How you’ll execute- Lead cross-functional CI projects anchored in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (DMAIC/DMADV), and TPM to deliver measurable results.
- Perform deep process analysis—workflow studies and value stream mapping—to surface Muda, constraints, and non–value-added activities across production, supply chain, and administrative areas.
- Drive data-centered problem solving: gather and interpret performance data, establish baselines, quantify opportunities, and verify improvements using statistical methods.
- Own a portfolio of initiatives with disciplined project management—scope, schedule, cost, and benefits tracked to closure.
- Enable others to improve: facilitate training on 5S, Standard Work, Kaizen, and SPC; mentor teams to build a durable CI culture.
- Codify and scale improvements through robust Standard Work and best practices across the facility.
- Integrate change with partners in operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain; ensure daily routines in industrial environments reflect new standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related engineering field.
- Experience: 3–5 years in continuous improvement within heavy industrial, manufacturing, or production settings.
- Methodologies: Proven Lean experience (Kaizen, 5S, SMED, Kanban), strong VSM/workflow analysis, and hands-on TPM pillar implementation.
- Analytics & communication: Proficiency with Minitab and Excel; excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with advanced manufacturing systems or Industry 4.0.
