Trainee Hedge Fund Recruiter - Alpha Academy (London)
Paragon Alpha - Hedge Fund Talent Business
Job Description
You're going to skip to the money anyway. So let's start there. One of our consultants took home over a million pounds in his third year.
He didn't have a finance degree. The day he arrived, he couldn't have told you what a hedge fund was. What he had was hunger.
We taught him the rest. That's Alpha Academy. We take exceptional people at the very start of their careers and turn them into the recruiters the best hedge funds in the world choose to pick up the phone to.
THE MONEY A serious base from day one. No draws. Nothing clawed back.
Uncapped commission on top, and a bonus at year end. Here's the shape of it, if you're good: Year one: you learn, and you graft. Year two: the commission lands, and you feel it.
Year three: our best earning high six figures figures. Our best over a million. There's no ceiling on your earnings because there's no ceiling on what you can place.
THE JOB You'll headhunt traders, portfolio managers and quants for the most prestigious funds in the world. Research first. Then calls to senior people who didn't ask to hear from you.
Then, once you've earned it, your own searches and your own clients. It's hard. The first year is rejection, long hours and waiting for it to pay off.
We tell you that on purpose. The people who excel here move toward that. They don't flinch from it.
THIS IS YOU IF You've carried a target and beaten it. Sales, hospitality, telesales, anything on commission. And you can quote the number.
You've done something most people your age haven't. Competitive sport. Built a business.
Travelled solo. Moved cities with no safety net. Funded your own qualifications.
You hear feedback and act on it the same day. You want to be paid for what you produce, not for showing up. THIS IS NOT YOU IF You want a career in HR, ‘people’, or talent acquisition.
This is sales. You think recruitment is ‘helping people find jobs’. A day of cold calls and knock-backs would finish you.
You'd rather have a fixed salary and a quiet life. No shame in that. It simply isn't this.
THE REST 25 days holiday. Hybrid, flexible hours. Phone and laptop.
Gym subsidy. Funded training. A paid month off after four years.
An annual ski trip. A barista bar in the office. TO APPLY Send your CV and, in two lines, tell us: why sales, and the best result you've ever been measured on.
If those two lines are sharp, we'll call you.
