A teaching opportunity is available for a qualified professional specializing in education for students who are visually impaired. Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Implement adaptive teaching strategies and materials to enhance accessibility and learning outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and other educators, to provide comprehensive support
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records and reports
- Participate actively in team meetings and professional development opportunities
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Department of Education (MA DOE) license as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
- Successful completion and passing of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTELs)
- Proven experience in instructing visually impaired students using evidenced-based practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and staff
