About the Role
Vendor Assist & Logistics Senior Manager will support and manage shop assist suppliers. The role requires applying problem‑solving expertise and building efficient working relationships across many P&W functional groups including Quality, Materials, Continuous Improvement, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Global Work Share, and multiple suppliers.
The Senior Manager will ensure uninterrupted flow of parts to production while meeting specific quality, delivery, and contractual requirements. They will be the main point of contact for the shop assist suppliers they manage and will coordinate and lead actions related to business continuity and improvement.
Role Type
This is an onsite role. Employees in onsite roles will work primarily onsite in production and maintenance functions essential to engine development.
Key Responsibilities
- Logistics management of the packing, shipping, and receiving team.
- Supplier relationships: delivery and quality performance, business reviews, underperforming supplier reviews, customer satisfaction.
- Project management: lead supplier qualification efforts for multiple process nodes, stakeholder and supplier reviews.
- Delivery assurance: ownership of delivery commitment and execution, output support, risk mitigation, recovery planning with communication to internal customers, recovery through Line of Balance (LOB) improvements.
- Planning: daily interactions with site materials management team and planner for each value assist operation to ensure material flow and set priorities at the supplier.
- Up to 50% travel to supplier sites.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing operations, supply chain, materials management, quality, or related environment, or a master’s degree and 7+ years of experience in a similar environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects.
- Delivery assurance and risk mitigation experience.
- CORE experience and analytical/metrics‑driven approach.
Salary and Benefits
Salary range: $132,400 – $251,600 USD. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Eligibility for annual incentive compensation programs depends on level and collective‑bargaining agreement status.
