Vice President, Investing & Portfolio Management
Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC – New York, New York
Recommend investments and implement strategy decisions in liquidity portfolios that are managed on behalf of both internal and external clients. Lead detailed analysis on U.S. macroeconomic scenarios, as well as trade evaluation as it relates to U.S. government liquidity portfolios.
Key Responsibilities
- Recommend investments and implement strategy decisions in liquidity portfolios managed on behalf of internal and external clients.
- Lead detailed analysis on U.S. macroeconomic scenarios and trade evaluation for U.S. government liquidity portfolios.
- Develop investment theses for new opportunities and present them to senior leadership.
- Compile and present detailed, regular competitive analysis to senior team members.
- Analyze portfolio risk‑management systems to identify and resolve booking errors and system‑generated issues related to trade booking.
- Negotiate bilateral transactions and compile documentation, such as term sheets.
- Lead investment update calls with external clients and internal teams (sales, portfolio management, and other internal investment teams).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Mathematics, History, Economics, Financial Engineering, or related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in portfolio management, risk management and oversight of liquidity portfolios.
- Experience developing investment theses and presenting them to senior leadership.
- Experience compiling and presenting detailed competitive analysis.
- Experience analyzing portfolio risk‑management systems and resolving booking errors or system issues.
- Experience negotiating bilateral transactions and compiling term sheets.
- Experience leading investment update calls with external clients and internal teams.
Compensation
Annual base salary: $180,000 – $270,000.
