Accountant (Hedge Fund) (Hiring Immediately)

Top-Tier Hedge Fund located in Manhattan is seeking an Accountant to join their growing team!

Responsibilities

Responsible for day-to-day accounting for a rapidly growing hedge fund

Assists with month end close activities, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure management and client-related fee revenue is properly recorded and supported.

Investigate and resolve reconciliation variances such as timing differences, missing entries, incorrect fee calculations, and misapplied cash

Partner with internal stakeholders to validate fee calculations and ensure proper revenue recognition

Perform fee income reconciliation by comparing fee reports to internal accounting records and bank/custodian activity

Assist in accounting activities including transaction posting, documentation, and general ledger support

Support cash and bank reconciliations, including tracking deposits and identifying outstanding items

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

1-5 years experience in a similar position
