The Accountant will oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including recording journal entries, managing accounts payable and receivable, and performing bank and account reconciliations.
Responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and maintaining accurate general ledger records for multiple entities within the portfolio. The role will assist with variance analysis, cash flow tracking, and supporting internal and external audits, while ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies. The Accountant will collaborate with finance and operations teams, respond to information requests from stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements and financial controls across the organization.Qualifications Strong technical accounting skills, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management in a corporate or multi-entity environment.Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar), advanced Excel skills, and comfort working with financial data and reports.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and experience supporting audits, internal controls, and compliance processes.Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a remote setting.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with clear written and verbal communication skills for working with cross-functional teams.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus.Experience in a holding company, investment firm, or multi-portfolio environment is beneficial but not required.
