Accounts Payable Specialist

Accountant Payable position will be primarily responsible for supporting key accounting operations across accounts payable, cash management, and month-end close. This position will report to the Controller and will be an integral part of the Company’s finance and accounting team. 

Key Responsibilities

·       Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities, including invoice review and approval support, payment run preparation, and maintenance of supporting documentation.

·       Support cash and bank operations by monitoring transactions, preparing reports, organizing bank records, executing bank transfers, and handling deposit-related activities.

·       Review expense reports for accuracy, coding, and supporting documentation, and coordinate with internal teams as needed to resolve questions.

·       Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations, recurring journal support, and preparation of schedules or backup documentation.

·       Provide day-to-day oversight, review, and guidance to a junior accounting team member supporting AP and related accounting processes 

·       Maintain organized accounting records and shared files to support audit readiness, process continuity, and timely reporting.

·       Partner with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to help ensure accurate, controlled, and efficient accounting operations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 4+ years of accounting/finance experience (public accounting and/or industry)

Relevant accounting experience in AP, cash management, and month-end close.

• Excellent communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and Accrual Accounting
• Self-starter – resourceful and able to work independently in an entrepreneurial environment.
• Detail-oriented, flexible, timely and accountable for projects. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Public Accounting experience or experience in a service company

·       Experience with large ERP,systems, expense management, and/or banking platforms

·       Experience with foreign entities
