Become a pivotal team member as a Maintenance Contracts Coordinator at the Town of Ajax. Focused on contract management, this role supports road maintenance operations and technical assistance.
As a key player reporting to the Supervisor of Technical Services, you will lead the coordination of maintenance contracts for roads, ensuring compliance with various standards and regulations. This role involves overseeing contractor performance, handling complaints, and conducting field inspections. Your expertise will help in tracking costs and managing resources effectively during winter events.
Key Responsibilities: • Lead contract administration and project management tasks • Schedule and supervise annual road maintenance contracts • Investigate and resolve public complaints regarding maintenance • Maintain compliance with Minimum Maintenance Standards (MMS) • Provide technical support and information to internal programs
Requirements: • College diploma in Civil Engineering Technology • Five years of experience in roadway construction and maintenance • Valid Ontario Class G Driver’s License • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Familiarity with GIS and specialized software is an asset
