About the Role
We’re looking for a curious, analytical graduate to join our Liquidity team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with large datasets, solving problems, and using numbers to uncover meaningful insights.
You’ll work closely with traders, developers and product specialists to help answer commercial questions, improve our understanding of client behaviour, and support decisions that influence our pricing and liquidity strategies. No two days are the same. One morning you may be investigating client execution quality, while the afternoon might involve analysing market behaviour or building reusable analytical tools in Python.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to electronic trading, financial markets and quantitative analysis in a supportive environment.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse large trading and market datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and anomalies
- Build and maintain Python notebooks and analytical tools used by the Liquidity team
- Respond to ad hoc business questions with clear, data-driven analysis
- Produce visualizations and reports that communicate insights effectively
- Develop an understanding of electronic trading, liquidity management, and market microstructure
What We’re Looking For
We’re less interested in years of experience and more interested in how you think.
You’ll likely have:
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Basic SQL experience
- The curiosity to investigate problems independently
Nice to Have
- Experience with pandas, Jupyter Notebooks, or similar analytic tools
- Exposure to financial markets, trading, or market data
What Success Looks Like
Within a year, you can be relied on to answer questions such as:
- How does this client’s trading pattern change throughout the day?
- Under what conditions is Level 2 actually traded?
- How price-sensitive is the volume on a given API?
- Are certain providers consistently outperforming during volatile markets?
