Job Description
We are partnering with a leading reinsurance company, based in Singapore, to hire an experienced Application Support & Database Analyst to support and enhance critical business systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of application support, data, and systems, with exposure to insurance or reinsurance platforms. Key ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day support for business applications and databases, troubleshooting application issues and resolving data-related errorsTranslate business requirements into system specifications and structured data solutionsDesign, develop, and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, and physical)Build and optimize database structures to support reporting and data extractionMonitor and improve database performance, including query optimization and tuningSupport system enhancements, patches, upgrades, and database migrationsManage user access and ensure proper controls across applications and databasesPerform system and application testing (UAT, regression) before releasesSupport IT audit processes and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) initiativesEnsure compliance with IT policies, security standards, and best practices
RequirementsDegree/Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in application support and database environmentsStrong hands-on experience with MS SQL / SQL Server and scriptingSolid understanding of database design, data modelling, and performance tuningExperience supporting core business systems (insurance/reinsurance systems preferred)Familiarity with SAP Business Intelligence is an advantageStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaborate within a team
