Assistant Manager Electrical Engineer

Job Objective / Overview:

Lead the Electrical design & Engineering activities for MW scale Land based Solar Power plant, Rooftop Solar Power plant, Battery Energy storage system and Substation projects upto 220kV.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Work across functionally with sales, project management and installation teams to ensure clients’ needs and internal deadlines are met

• Timely Delivery of Engineering Drawings & Documents

• Ensure deliveries are aligned to Project Schedule

• Perform accurate system sizing calculations

• Execute designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements

• Capable of Multitasking and deliver multiple things on time

• Estimate and Plan man-hour requirements

• Take feedback from market to help provide ideas to improve our product offering

• Provide Technical Sales support by educating prospective customers about our offerings and helping develop trust with customers on technical front

• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for ensuring inter-departmental checks

• Provide support & clarifications to the Site Execution team

• Check pre-award evaluation of vendors (w.r.t. technical specifications requirement of the client) and forward the validation document to Supply Chain Management

• In respect to equipment from the finalized vendor after submission of validation document of the vendor

• Clarify issues w.r.t. the design & requirements of the client to the Site Execution Team

• Collect inputs for project details (plot details, feeder arrangements etc.) from client & Project Engineering Manager

• Review drawings by Design Engineers & Draughts Persons. Checking of design & sizing calculations of engineering electrical equipment and obtaining approvals from the client

• Review of Vendor deliverables pertaining to Engineering

• Coordinating with Operations team and informing Design specifications for obtaining approval

• Cost optimization approach

• Design optimization approach

• Risk and cost analysis of tender

• Preparation of pre bid tender quarries

• Energy estimation risk analysis

Education:

• B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech Electrical Engineering and working knowledge of in Solar and Substation project.

Experience:

• Overall 8 + years of experience in Design and engineering

Technical Competency:

• Ability to design of land based MW scale power plant and substation up to 220kV.
• Should be ready for field visits.
• Should be flexible to perform project management role if needed
• Requires extensive experience Electrical project works
• Good hands in PVsyst, AutoCAD and MS office
• Proficiency in English and Hindi, both written and oral
