Assistant Surgeon

Role Description The Assistant Surgeon will support senior surgeons in delivering high-quality surgical care to patients in an on-site, full-time role based in Hyderabad. Daily responsibilities include assisting in pre-operative evaluation, preparing patients for surgery, participating in surgical procedures, and providing post-operative monitoring and follow-up care. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary clinical teams, documenting patient information accurately, and adhering to hospital protocols and safety standards.

The Assistant Surgeon will also help manage schedules, review diagnostic reports, counsel patients and families on treatment plans, and participate in clinical meetings and continuous quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong clinical and surgical skills, including knowledge of common surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and perioperative care.
• Candidates should possess patient care and communication skills, including clear counseling, empathetic interaction, and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Candidates should possess diagnostic and decision-making skills, including interpreting investigations, prioritizing clinical needs, and responding promptly to complications or emergencies.
• Candidates should possess organizational and documentation skills, including accurate medical record-keeping, adherence to hospital protocols, and time management in a busy clinical environment.
• MBBS with recognized surgical training; postgraduate qualification in Surgery (e.g., MS General Surgery or equivalent) is preferred.
• Valid medical registration with the appropriate regulatory body in India.
• Prior experience assisting in surgeries within a hospital setting is highly beneficial.
