AV AirFinance is a leading commercial aviation lending platform owned and backed by KKR, one of the world's largest alternative asset managers and a long term investor in the aviation sector. AV AirFinance arranges financing in the commercial aviation financing space to airlines, leasing companies and investors across the globe. The team has underwritten more than $5bn of loans to more than 70 airlines since the company was founded in 2021.
We are seeking an Analyst to join our Investments team in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The ideal candidate should be motivated, team-focused and extremely organised. The Investments team is the engine behind the loan origination efforts of the platform, and the new Analyst will work closely with all aspects of the commercial side of the business, and will report to the Chief Investment Officer.
This role is ideal for a candidate that is looking for a fast paced environment with a high velocity of deals to work on, and who may ultimately want to work in a senior marketing, trading or corporate finance role.
This is a hybrid role and will require min. 4 days in our office (Monday to Thursday) every week.
Responsibilities
- Analyse potential deals through financial modelling, including cash flow forecasting and data analysis, to support transactions.
- Iterate with airline and leasing customers on the key commercial terms of transactions
- Recognise key elements from modelling results, with the competency to interpret and evaluate results.
- Interpret and pitch deals to internal investment committee
- Liaise with Marketing and Risk teams to ensure accurate representation.
- Work on term sheets and loan documentation alongside deal team
- Assist in airline and lessor credit reviews on a periodic basis.
- Prepare periodic Board Reports.
- Conduct specific research and analysis on aviation markets or asset types to assist marketing efforts
Suitable Candidate
- The ideal candidate for this role will be someone who has a strong understanding of aviation leasing or banking with 1-3 years’ experience.
- Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Outlook – Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are critical).
- Ability to code VBA C++ Python is a plus
- Highly numerate and analytical, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to do complex pricing and cashflow modelling.
- Experience in report-writing.
- Degree in business, accounting, engineering, or finance.
- Solutions-focused with a flexible, collegial attitude.
- Self-motivated, excellent attention to detail, and an internal drive to produce high-quality work.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff.
- Good decision-making skills and the ability to function well under stress while working in a fast-paced environment and across multiple time zones.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
