This is a senior role for an ambitious, commercially-minded professional looking to take ownership of client portfolios, lead teams, and progress into a strategic leadership position.About the Role In this role, you will lead a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, ensuring excellence in technical delivery and client service. A key focus will be reviewing, supervising, and mentoring junior and mid-level staff while developing your leadership capabilities. Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing audit engagements from planning to completion, overseeing complex assignmentsPreparing statutory and annual accounts for a diverse portfolio of clientsConducting in-depth risk assessments and testing key controlsReviewing, approving, and signing off the work of junior and mid-level staff, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standardsPreparing management letters and presenting audit findings to clientsMentoring and coaching team members, developing technical skills and fostering a high-performing team cultureManaging and expanding client relationships, identifying opportunities to provide additional servicesSupporting Partners with strategic client portfolios, business development, and firm growth initiativesEnsuring compliance with professional standards, accounting regulations, and internal quality processesContributing to process improvements and promoting efficient working practices across the teamRequirementsWho We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have:ACA or ACCA qualification, with Audit RI status or desire to obtain thisSignificant experience in audit and accounts within a practice environmentStrong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standardsProven experience reviewing and supervising staff, with the ability to develop and inspire teamsCommercial awareness with a client-focused mindsetExcellent organisational and leadership skills, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesProficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similarAmbition and drive to progress into a leadership or partnership roleBenefits This is a senior-level role offering a competitive salary, hybrid working flexibility, and significant career progression opportunities.
