Be a vital part of the crisis intervention team at ANCHOR as a Bilingual Mental Health Crisis Worker. Provide urgent support to individuals facing significant health challenges in Ottawa's diverse neighborhoods.
In this vital position, you will use your bilingual English and French skills to provide direct crisis response and advocacy. The role involves engaging with clients experiencing urgent mental health and substance use crises using a harm reduction approach. Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts is a necessary aspect of this community service.
Key Responsibilities: • Offer immediate crisis intervention and assessment • Support clients in navigating health and social resources • Implement de-escalation techniques effectively • Maintain collaborative relationships within diverse teams • Conduct outreach to underserved areas within the community
Requirements: • Must be bilingual in French and English • 3–5 years of experience in crisis management roles • Valid G class driver's license required • Education in health or social sciences preferred • Knowledge of local resources and community services
