Salary range (based on a 35‑hour workweek): $94,200 – $115,200 annually. Annual bonus target 12% of base salary with potential payout up to double the target. Other benefits: flexible work arrangements, hybrid model, up to 5 days off per year, telemedicine, wellness account, share plan, pension, guaranteed income for life.

About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Bilingual Senior Human Resources Consultant to join our new Employee Relations Centre of Expertise. In this role, you will participate in the development of cutting‑edge practices and recommend enhancements to the Respect in the Workplace Program and policy. Your expertise in investigations and mediation will ensure the effective governance and continuous improvement of our Respect in the Workplace program.
You will partner closely with the Sr HRBP Employee Relations, our Health & Safety partners and various stakeholders across HR and the organization to design and implement employee relations best practices, resources, and tools to support our HR community. You will support key initiatives to evolve and support the company in our efforts to ensure a healthy and safe workplace in a hybrid work environment.
What you’ll do here:
Employee Relations and Health & Safety
- Develop excellent relationships with HR and become a key resource, advisor, and expert on employee relations and complex respect‑in‑the‑workplace issues.
- Collaborate with various centers of expertise to develop and implement tools, standards, and templates that support operational HR teams with respect to employee relations.
- Partner with the IFC Health & Safety team to strengthen hybrid health and safety practices and processes across Canadian operations.
- Advance the domestic violence policy & process management and evolve training and awareness protocols.
- Collaborate with the mental health team on psychological health and safety support, sharing best practices.
Respect in the Workplace and Investigations
- Implement workplace harassment prevention strategies across all levels.
- Conduct workplace investigations and support HR, leaders and employees in successful resolution of workplace issues and conflicts.
- Elevate organizational training on workplace respect nationwide.
- Support the development and deployment of advanced training for HR professionals on respect, conflict resolution, and mediation best practices.
- Collaborate with corporate communications, legal, HR, compliance, and IT to ensure seamless program implementation.
Best Practice Alignment and COE Enhancement
- Ensure practices related to Employee Relations, Respect in the Workplace and Health & Safety align with industry and market best practices and propose improvements.
- Utilize market research and data analysis to anticipate needs and craft proactive strategies for the Employee Relations COE.
- Conduct gap analyses and assess operational needs to propose alignments and solutions to enhance HR process efficiency.
- Analyze global trends and prepare quarterly executive summaries and ad hoc reporting.
- Enhance internal dashboards and reporting KPIs with latest industry standards and psycho‑social risk prevention best practices.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management or related field.
- Minimum 5 years HR experience with strong employee relations experience.
- Strategic focus, autonomy, exceptional organizational skills.
- High capacity for managing stress and navigating ambiguity with motivation to bring clarity and confidence.
- Adaptability in a continuously evolving environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to develop and deliver presentations.
- Critical thinking skills and eye for detail, experience in trend and data analysis.
- Exceptional influencing and relationship‑building skills across all management levels and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated curiosity, willingness to challenge status‑quo.
- CHRP designation and workplace mediation or investigation certification preferred.
- Bilingualism (French/English) required; no Canadian work experience required but must be eligible to work in Canada.
