Human Resources Manager

Our client, a well-established not-for-profit organization in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function and support employees across multiple GTA locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys both strategic and hands-on human resources work, with responsibilities spanning payroll, employee relations, recruitment, workplace investigations, health & safety, and legislative compliance.

What you'll do:

Manage biweekly payroll for approximately 180–200 employees

Oversee employee relations, workplace investigations, discipline, and performance matters

Lead recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and employee documentation

Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation, WSIB, and health & safety requirements

Administer employee benefits, government remittances, and payroll documentation

Support managers across multiple GTA locations on HR matters

Prepare reports for senior leadership, government agencies, and the Board

Maintain confidential employee records and oversee HR operations

What you bring:

✅ 3+ years of progressive Human Resources experience

✅ CHRP or CHRL designation, or a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management

✅ Strong payroll experience, including benefits administration, ROEs, and government remittances

✅ Experience using PayWork and Workforce payroll systems

✅ Solid knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and workplace compliance

✅ Excellent communication, judgment, and ability to handle confidential matters with discretion

✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
