Job Description
The company is an underground utility and service detection and mapping company, supporting safe and efficient earthworks by providing various services. Our focus is on construction and earthwork projects by helping teams identify underground utilities early, reducing the risk of service strikes and improving site coordination for work to proceed safely and smoothly.
Role OverviewAs a Bookkeeper, you will handle day-to-day accounting and finance administration, ensuring accurate records for revenue, expenses, payables/receivables, and basic reporting. You will support smooth invoicing and collections across projects and service jobs
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate full set / partial set bookkeeping (depending on company setup), including daily entries and reconciliationsHandle Accounts Payable (AP): supplier invoices, payment preparation, filing, tracking due datesHandle Accounts Receivable (AR): invoicing to clients, receipts tracking, basic follow-up for outstanding paymentsPerform bank reconciliations and maintain cashflow trackingSupport payroll admin (basic) and staff claims (if applicable)Organise documentation for accountant/auditor: invoices, receipts, purchase orders, delivery orders, etcAssist with monthly reporting: expense summaries, AR/AP aging, simple management reportEnsure proper record keeping for compliance and internal control
RequirementsMinimum 2–3 years of bookkeeping experienceCertificate/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experienceProficient in Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero/QuickBooks/MYOB/others) is a plusStrong attention to detail, organised filing, and consistent follow-throughAble to handle confidential information professionally
