Atomic Recruitment – Head of Finance (Food Distribution / FMCG)Location: North, Singapore Reports to: Managing Director
Salary: Up to SGD 12,000 x 13 Months + Bonus
Role OverviewThe Head of Finance is a strategic leadership role responsible for the full spectrum of finance, including FP&A, reporting, compliance, treasury, and risk management.This role partners closely with senior leadership to drive performance, ensure financial discipline, and support long-term growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute financial strategy aligned with business objectives Act as a key advisor to senior leadership on investments and growth initiatives Provide commercial insights to support expansion, cost optimisation, and profitability Lead finance transformation initiatives, including digitalisation and process improvements 2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes Monitor performance vs budget with variance analysis and actionable insights Drive cost control and operational efficiency initiatives Develop financial models for pricing, investments, and decision-making Analyse sales trends, seasonality, and demand patterns 3.
Financial Reporting & ComplianceEnsure timely and accurate financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual) Maintain compliance with statutory, tax, and accounting standards Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulators Strengthen internal controls, governance, and audit processes Oversee cost accounting (landed cost, standard costing, variance analysis) 4. Cash Flow & Treasury ManagementManage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital Optimise banking relationships, funding, and credit facilities Monitor financial risks (FX, interest rates, credit exposure) Improve working capital cycles (inventory, receivables, payables) 5. Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead and develop a high-performing finance team Build capabilities in data analytics, automation, and business partnering Drive clear accountability and succession planning 6.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder ManagementPartner with Operations, Procurement, HR, and Sales teams Provide guidance on pricing, margins, and cost structures Present financial insights to senior stakeholders Strengthen controls across inventory, procurement, and finance processes 7. Systems & Digital TransformationDrive adoption of ERP systems and finance technologies Improve processes for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy Leverage data analytics and AI tools for forecasting and reporting
Key RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field Professional qualification (CPA / ACCA / CA) preferred 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, with ≥8 years in leadership roles Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, distribution, or similar industries preferred Strong track record in financial strategy and business partnering Strong commercial acumen with ability to translate data into insights Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills High integrity and attention to detail Proficient in ERP systems, Excel, and data analytics tools Experience in automation and digital transformation initiatives
