The successful candidate will play a key role in developing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting continued growth across the UK market.Roles & ResponsibilitiesIdentify and qualify new business opportunities through a combination of inbound enquiries and proactive outbound sales activityRespond to trade applications, onboard new customers, and establish long-term customer relationshipsManage and develop existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities to increase spend and maximise account potentialPresent product solutions and commercial proposals to key decision-makersDevelop quotations and proposals tailored to customer requirementsNegotiate pricing and commercial agreements to secure new business opportunitiesIdentify cross-selling opportunities across an extensive product portfolioWork closely with Area Sales Managers to support ongoing account management and business development activityAchieve agreed sales, revenue, and customer acquisition targets while delivering exceptional levels of serviceEssential CriteriaMinimum of 2 years' experience within a sales, business development, account management, or customer service environmentProven ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholdersExperience working towards sales targets and performance-based KPIsStrong communication, negotiation, and influencing skillsExcellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectivelyExperience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPointAbility to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Grade C or above in English and MathsDesirable CriteriaExperience within manufacturing, construction, interiors, building products, home improvement, or related sectorsPrevious experience managing customer accounts and growing customer spendKnowledge of pricing strategies, quotations, and commercial negotiationsFamiliarity with high-volume sales environments and KPI-driven performance culturesWhat's On OfferCompetitive base salary of up to £31,700 and a commission structure with an OTE of £43,000Guaranteed commission during your first three monthsHybrid working modelHealth Cash Plan covering dental, optical, physiotherapy, diagnostics, and specialist treatmentsEnhanced annual leave entitlement based on length of serviceHoliday purchase schemeCompany pension schemeEarly finish every FridayComprehensive onboarding and ongoing development supportHow To ApplyTo speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Charlie Plant, Associate Specialist Consultant at MCS Group on .Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
