The successful candidate will take control of the County Down territory and play a key role in expanding the customer base, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers across a designated territory.Roles & ResponsibilitiesIdentify and develop new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, and field-based sales activityBuild and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of service and customer retentionConduct regular site visits and customer meetings to understand operational requirements and identify sales opportunitiesGenerate qualified leads and develop a healthy sales pipeline across key sectors including construction, engineering, manufacturing, and industrial marketsPromote a comprehensive range of tools, equipment, consumables, and associated services to both new and existing customersDeliver product demonstrations and provide customers with tailored solutions to meet their business needsWork closely with internal sales, service, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experienceMonitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support ongoing business development initiativesRepresent the business at trade events, customer open days, exhibitions, and networking opportunitiesEssential CriteriaPrevious experience in a sales, business development, account management, or customer-facing roleStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsProven ability to identify opportunities and generate new businessSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectivelyStrong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple opportunitiesAre currently working in a field sales roleFull clean driving licence with flexibility to travel throughout the territory of County DownDesirable CriteriaExperience within tools, industrial supplies, engineering, construction, plant hire, manufacturing, or related sectorsExperience selling directly to trade customers, contractors, engineering firms, or industrial businessesKnowledge of power tools, equipment, PPE, consumables, or technical product rangesFamiliarity with territory management and field sales best practicesWhat's On OfferCompetitive base salary with uncapped commission potentialCompany vehicle and fuel cardCompany laptop and mobile phoneComprehensive onboarding and ongoing product trainingOpportunity to join a financially stable and growing business with a strong market reputationHigh level of autonomy and ownership within your territoryClear opportunities for long-term career progressionHow To ApplyTo speak in absolute confidence about this opportunity please send an up to date CV via the link provided or contact Charlie Plant, Associate Specialist Consultant at MCS Group on .Even if this position is not right for you, we may have others that are.
