The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic engagement programs for designated end‑user accounts to drive adoption of HID solutions and support long‑term customer success. This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers by understanding their business objectives, security challenges, and technology roadmaps. The position partners closely with sales, marketing, technical teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to promote HID’s portfolio and future technologies.
Through consultative engagement, education, and business development activities, the Business Development Manager helps expand customer relationships, increase market awareness, and contribute to revenue growth across key vertical markets.
Responsibilities
- Providing educational/awareness briefings and trainings for End‑users to reinforce HID Global role as a ‘Trusted Advisor’.
- Attending applicable industry tradeshows, meetings, and other HID internal and external events, especially with focus on speaking and presentation opportunity.
- Providing timely and accurate monthly status report of group activities and progress, including product mix, timelines for delivery and revenue contribution.
- Cooperating with end user marketing for end‑user focused tools such as, developing whitepapers, brochures, web presence, speaker engagements, end user events, and lead nurturing new customers. moving from physical access to digital mobile technologies.
- Having the ability to travel up to 50% required.
Experience and Background
- Understanding and experience with the end‑user corporate culture, environment, and decision processes.
- Strong knowledge of consultant community requirements and tools related to this vertical.
- Demonstrated sales and business development in meeting and increasing sales revenue targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in projects supporting cloud‑based platform and services is strongly desired.
- Access control solutions and related technologies are a big plus.
- Minimum 5 years of related Business Development experience in Banking, High Education, Industrial and Commercial Real Estate markets highly preferred.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English and Spanish language, both verbally and in writing.
- Portuguese a plus.
