We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional to lead sales and marketing activities across Singapore and Malaysia (and other Southeast Asia markets as required). This role is responsible for driving and exceeding sales targets across a defined territory—while acting as the vital link between corporate strategy and frontline execution. It’s about balancing strategic planning with team leadership to deliver sustainable profitability.

About the RoleThis role is responsible for driving and exceeding sales targets across a defined territory—while acting as the vital link between corporate strategy and frontline execution.
Responsibilities:
Revenue & Performance Accountability: Achieving Sales Targets: Meeting or exceeding regional sales quotas, KPIs, and revenue goals.Managing Distributors & non MCAM suppliersSales Forecasting: Providing accurate, timely sales forecasts for senior management.Price Database Management & Budget Management: Managing regional budgets effectively, including expenses and ROI on sales initiatives.CRM Compliance: Ensuring accurate, up-to-date tracking of leads, opportunities, and sales activity within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Team Leadership and Development: Recruiting & Staffing: Hiring, onboarding, and training sales representatives.Coaching and Mentoring: Developing high-performing teams through regular field visits, sales meetings, and performance reviews.Performance Management: Monitoring individual and team KPIs, taking action to address underperformance, and motivating staff to reach potential.
Strategy and Market Execution: Territory Strategy: Developing tailored sales and marketing plans for the region to align with national or global goals.Market Analysis: Identifying market trends, competitor activity, and new growth opportunities.Customer Relationship Management: Maintaining high-level relationships with key clients, supporting high-value negotiations, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Fully understanding the company operation as well as market needs.
Operational Excellence: Compliance: Ensuring adherence to company policies, legal guidelines, and ethical standards.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with marketing, product, supply chain and customer service teams to align regional initiatives.Resource Allocation: Optimizing territory coverage and managing resources for maximum productivity. Qualifications:Degree in an engineering discipline (preferred: Mechanical, Electronics, or Materials Science) or equivalent relevant education.5+ years’ experience in sales management and/or inside sales management.Industry exposure in semiconductor, electronics, or aerospace is strongly preferred.Working knowledge of sales operations, supply chain fundamentals, and marketing execution.Strong forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM usage/compliance.Comfortable managing budgets and commercial decision-making (pricing, spend, ROI).Excellent stakeholder management across internal teams and external partners.
