Job Description
Smollan is scaling up in Poland, and we’re looking for a Business Development Manager to identify and develop new business opportunities that align with Smollan’s world‑class offerings. This is a high‑impact role where you will be responsible for building strong relationships with potential clients, understanding their pain points, and proposing solutions that drive measurable revenue uplift and operational efficiencies.
Smollan, a global company with reach over 70 countries. Our objective is to help brands and retailers to win at the point of purchase. In Poland we provide services mainly in the area of Sales and Merchandising (sales force outsourcing, merchandising and audits) and in the area of Activation Experience (brand ambassadors, pop up stores and retail stores management).
Given the global presence and experience we have a very ambitious target in Poland and thus we expect significant growth in the near future.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Driving new client wins and revenue growth
- Strategic Planning, conducting SWOT and 7C analyses (Climate, Competition, Category, etc.) to identify commercial gaps and white space across verticals.
- Outline future pipeline opportunities (1-3 years) and maintain CRM tools with qualified leads.
- Lead the pitch & RFP processes; bid/no-bid decisions and manage the full proposal development process, including writing commercial sections and presenting value propositions to stakeholders
- Lead the deal and negotiate mutually beneficial terms, finalise contracts with legal/finance input, and ensure a seamless handover to operations teams
- Business sustainability, measuring client satisfaction post-launch and ensuring all contractual commitments made during the RFP process are effectively met
What You Will Bring To The Role:
- Proven sales hunter with a track record of achieving high‑value growth targets and winning deals
- Strong commercial acumen, interpersonal and communication skills with an existing industry network
- A self‑motivated winner who is also a curious, proactive team player
- Ability to use regional and global trends to enhance existing services and identify hooks for pitch preparation and needs based assessment
- Highly competent in Google or MS Office suite and CRM tools i.e Salesforce
- Fluent Polish and strong English are must‑haves
- A valid driving license, readiness for extensive travel, and legal eligibility to work in Poland
