Clinical Specialist
Vatech India Pvt. Ltd.
Job Description
Job Title: Clinical Application & Education Specialist (Dental Imaging)
Location: New Delhi, India
Reports to: Director, Sales & Marketing — Vatech India (VIN)
Employment Type: Full-time
Role Summary
Serve as VIN's in-house clinical voice — translating the clinical value of Vatech's imaging portfolio (intraoral sensors, portable X-ray, 2D panoramic, 3D CBCT) and software ecosystem into education for the sales team, guidance for marketing, and credible peer-level dialogue with dentists and KOLs. This is an enablement and program-building role: it multiplies the field team's clinical competence and builds clinical assets from scratch — it does not replace field sales coverage. The right person is a self-starter who builds programs without close supervision, not someone waiting to be assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical value articulation — Define, per product line, where and how each product changes clinical workflow and outcomes (e.g., CBCT in implant planning and endodontics; sensors in daily diagnosis). Build an evidence base and use-case library localized to Indian clinical practice.
- Sales enablement (train-the-trainer) — Train sales engineers to run clinical-value-led demos (not spec-led). Create demo scripts, certification checklists, and clinically grounded objection handling.
- Marketing advisory — Advise marketing on which clinical messages to emphasize per audience segment; review campaigns and collateral for clinical accuracy and persuasiveness; support the "image quality × AI = trust" positioning against price-based competitors.
- KOL & customer engagement — Proactively build relationships with key dentists and specialists; support high-value deals and CBCT/software adoption through credible clinical dialogue; feed field insight back into product and marketing.
- Software clinical integration — Support the clinical framing of Clever Dent / AI Dent diagnostic value as "better standard of care," not "bill more."
Required Qualifications (must-have)
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), registered.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on, chair-side clinical practice, preferably in imaging-intensive work (implant, endodontics, or oral medicine & radiology).
- Excellent presentation and teaching ability — able to translate clinical concepts for non-clinical (sales/marketing) audiences.
- Fluent English and Hindi.
- High ownership / self-starter — demonstrated track record of building initiatives from scratch without close supervision.
- Preferred Qualifications (weighted, not disqualifying)
- MDS in Oral Medicine & Radiology (strongly preferred), or MDS in Endodontics / Oral Surgery / Prosthodontics with heavy CBCT usage.
- Prior experience in dental / medical-device industry (clinical application, product training, or KOL management).
- Familiarity with dental imaging modalities, radiation-safety basics, and PMS / diagnostic software.
- Core Competencies
- Translating clinical concepts into sales and marketing language.
- Confidence presenting to and influencing practicing dentists.
- Cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing.
- Willingness to travel for training and key-customer support.
