Communication Project Manager Role: Communication Project Manager Location: Sacramento, CA hybrid (mostly remote) Type: C2C/W2 Duration: Long-term Client: Delegata/State of CA Responsibilities Work closely with Senior PM, Project Director, and Project Team. Team Building with all internal and external stakeholders. Estimate task resource requirements and completion estimates.
Develop project and contract deliverables within resource estimates. Track project and contract deliverable progress. Develop monthly project reports.
Develop ad hoc reports. Develop and/or conduct project communications (e.g., Intranet content, newsletter, etc.). Track project and task progress.
Develop and conduct project briefings as requested. Maintain detailed WBS and Project Schedule. Maintain and implement project communication plan.
Deliverables Produced Project‑defined deliverables Weekly status meetings with updated agendas, minutes, and action items Weekly updates to risk and issue tracking logs, WBS, etc. Project briefings Project status reports Prepare project‑related announcements and facilitate Lunch‑n‑Learn sessions Updated project documents Qualifications A minimum of three (3) years (5 years preferred) of broad and extensive project management experience successfully managing information technology (IT) programs and projects. A minimum of three (3) years (5 years preferred) of team building, knowledge transfer, and/or mentoring experience.
A minimum of three (3) years (5 years preferred) of leading and facilitating team meetings. A minimum of three (3) years of experience (5 years preferred) in schedule management and Microsoft (MS) Project, stakeholder management, scope and change management, and consulting experience for a project worth at least $2 M ($5 M preferred). PREFERRED: A minimum of two (2) years of experience with implementation of Salesforce Customer Community for Public Sector Organizations for the State of California.
REQUIRED: Bachelors degree (Masters or Doctorate degree preferred) from an accredited college or university. (Attach a copy of the diploma.)
