Key responsibilities

• Covenant Monitoring & Compliance
\n
• Monitor financial and non-financial covenants for assigned loan portfolios.
\n
• Review borrower-submitted financial statements, compliance certificates, and other required documentation.
\n
• Calculate financial covenant ratios and assess compliance against agreed thresholds.
\n
• Track covenant due dates and ensure timely receipt of borrower information.
\n
• Identify, investigate, and document covenant breaches or potential exceptions.
\n
• Risk Assessment & Analysis
\n
• Conduct variance analysis and identify early warning signals.
\n
• Escalate covenant breaches, waivers, amendments, and high-risk observations to relevant stakeholders.
\n
• Support credit risk teams in evaluating covenant-related findings.
\n
• Reporting & Documentation
\n
• Maintain accurate covenant monitoring systems and databases.
\n
• Prepare periodic compliance reports, exception reports, and management dashboards.
\n
• Ensure proper documentation of covenant reviews, calculations, and approvals.
\n
• Support internal and external audits by providing required doc
\n

Key competencies

\n
• MBA (Finance) / CA (CPA equivalent) / CFA
\n
• Experience of 3-12 years in spreading and covenant monitoring
\n
• Strong understanding of credit principles, policies, and regulations
\n
• Proficient in Advanced MS Excel
\n
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills
\n
• Experience of working for a US based bank will be an added advantage
\n
