Role SummaryWe are looking for a highly dependable Manager for Data & AI practice of BuzzClan in India who can act as a strong backup for the data function and take ownership of day-to-day delivery with minimal to no supervision. This person should be someone leadership can rely on to manage priorities, lead the team, solve problems, communicate with stakeholders, and keep execution moving smoothly.This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is practical, accountable, willing to learn new things quickly, and not afraid of unknowns or ambiguity.Key ResponsibilitiesOwn and drive data and AI initiatives from planning to deliveryManage day-to-day work across data engineering, analytics, BI, reporting, and AI effortsLead and mentor team members, review work, and ensure accountabilityTranslate business needs into practical execution plansWork closely with stakeholders and provide clear updates, risks, and recommendationsIdentify blockers early and solve problems independentlyMaintain quality, documentation, and delivery disciplineSupport architecture, design discussions, and technical decision-making where neededAct as a dependable second-in-command for the functionAble to work with cross function team like proposal writers, sales, pre-sales and marketingRequired Qualifications10+ years of experience in data, analytics, BI, data engineering, or related areas5+ years of experience managing teams or leading deliveryStrong hands-on knowledge of SQL, data pipelines, reporting, analytics, and modern data platformsGood understanding of AI use cases and data-driven problem-solvingStrong communication, ownership, and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work independently and handle multiple prioritiesWhat We Are Looking ForHigh ownership and reliabilityWillingness to learn new tools, technologies, and business areasNot afraid of unknowns, ambiguity, or new challengesStrong problem-solving mindsetAble to balance technical depth with delivery leadershipCalm under pressure and dependable in executionSomeone who can be trusted to run things well even in leadership absencePreferredDomain experience in a complex, data-heavy industriesExperience working with global teams, especially US and India collaborationExposure to cloud, BI, data governance, and AI/automation initiatives
