Deputy General Manager : Executive/ Leadership Hiring

Location: Mumbai & onsite working

Position Purpose:

This role is responsible for attracting, assessing, and securing senior‑level leaders who have a strategic impact on the organization. The role demands exceptional stakeholder management, deep understanding of leadership competencies, strong people‑reading acumen, and the ability to guide leadership candidates seamlessly through the hiring journey.

Key Responsibilities are, but not limited to:

Executive Talent Identification

• Map and source leadership talent through industry research, networks, and targeted outreach.
• Build a future‑ready pipeline of high‑potential candidates for critical leadership roles.
• Maintain ongoing visibility into senior‑level talent movements and market shifts

Executive Candidate Engagement

• Build trusted relationships with senior candidates through high‑impact, strategic communication.
• Represent the organization’s vision and leadership culture with clarity and professionalism.
• Deliver a high‑touch, personalized engagement experience for all executive‑level talent

Leadership Candidate Management

• Drive seamless end‑to‑end workflow for senior candidates with discretion and precision.
• Assess leadership style, motivation, and fit through structured capability conversations.
• Provide clear, insight‑based recommendations on candidate suitability and risk areas.

Candidate Immersion & Site Engagement

• Curate and lead immersive site visits for leadership candidates to showcase business depth.
• Coordinate with key leaders to design meaningful on‑ground interactions.
• Ensure a smooth, well‑structured candidate experience during facility visits.

Senior Stakeholder Partnership

• Collaborate closely with CXOs, HRBPs, and business leaders to define leadership needs.
• Provide structured insights on leadership competencies, cultural alignment, and potential gaps.
• Align hiring priorities with long‑term organizational and succession strategies.

Leadership Insight & Evaluation Support

• Offer nuanced people insights based on behavioral observations and leadership cues.
• Highlight candidate strengths, challenges, and cultural compatibility to decision‑makers.
• Support evaluation discussions with evidence‑based viewpoints and strategic context.

Research & Market Mapping

• Steer and guide the research agenda to ensure comprehensive market mapping of senior leadership talent and industry benchmarks.
• Direct internal teams and external search partners to generate high‑quality intelligence on leadership movements, competitor structures, and market shifts.
• Leverage insights and market intelligence to shape proactive leadership sourcing strategies and strengthen future‑ready talent pipelines.

Governance & Process Excellence

• Maintain immaculate documentation, assessments, and process discipline for leadership roles.
• Coordinate complex interview schedules involving senior stakeholders with accuracy.
• Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and compliance in all executive hiring practices.

Profile Requirements:

Educational Qualification

• MBA – HR or equivalent

Experience

• 10-12 Years of relevant leadership hiring experience, preferably in Manufacturing domain
