Role Description The Article Assistant (Articleship) will support the firm’s audit, tax, and compliance engagements under the supervision of senior professionals. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in statutory and tax audits, preparing working papers and schedules, supporting GST and income tax return preparation and filings, and helping with documentation for tax assessments and litigation. The role involves conducting basic research on accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, as well as maintaining accurate records and files for client assignments.
The Article Assistant will also coordinate with clients for data collection, clarification of queries, and follow-up on pending information. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing Chartered Accountancy (CA) with eligibility for Articleship, or equivalent professional training in accounting and taxation.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, auditing concepts, and basic knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws (including GST and income tax).
- Ability to analyze financial data, prepare working papers, and support statutory, tax, and internal audits with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting software; familiarity with tax and GST return filing platforms is an advantage.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with clients and team members in a professional manner.
- Organized work approach, time management skills, and the ability to handle multiple assignments under guidance and deadlines.
- Integrity, willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude toward understanding evolving tax and regulatory requirements.
- Prior internship or exposure in a CA firm or financial services environment is beneficial but not mandatory.
