Job Description
Job Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures across all client locations. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, promotes a strong safety culture, minimizes workplace risks, and supports business continuity through effective safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS laws, statutory regulations, and client safety requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments across sites.
- Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed investigation reports and recommend preventive measures.
- Conduct safety induction and periodic training programs for employees, contractors, and vendors.
- Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including mock drills for fire, evacuation, chemical spills, and medical emergencies.
- Maintain statutory registers, EHS documentation, permits, and compliance records.
- Liaise with government authorities, auditors, and client representatives during inspections and audits.
- Monitor environmental compliance related to waste management, pollution control, water, energy, and hazardous material handling.
- Prepare monthly EHS performance reports, dashboards, and MIS for management review.
- Drive safety awareness campaigns and promote a "Zero Harm" culture across all locations.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and safety non-conformities
Qualification:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Science or equivalent.
- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety, Fire & Safety, Environment Management, or NEBOSH/IOSH Certification preferred.
Experience:
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Environment, Health & Safety.
- Experience in Facility Management, Manufacturing, Industrial, Healthcare, Commercial Buildings, or Infrastructure Projects preferred.
- Experience in handling multi-location operations and client-facing environments will be an advantage.
