Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Sales Engineer – BioPharma role based in Mumbai. The Sales Engineer will work closely with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical clients to understand their process requirements and recommend suitable sterile injectable, bioreactor, and processing solutions. Daily responsibilities include conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations, preparing proposals and quotations, and supporting the sales cycle from lead generation through order closure.
The role involves collaborating with design, automation, and project execution teams to ensure accurate technical specifications and smooth handover of confirmed orders. The Sales Engineer will also provide pre-sales and limited post-sales technical support, maintain strong customer relationships, and actively gather market and competitor insights to help refine offerings.
Qualifications
- Strong sales-focused technical skills, including Sales Engineering and Sales, with the ability to translate complex biopharma processing requirements into practical solutions.
- Experience providing Technical Support for process equipment or capital machinery, ideally within pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, or related process industries.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear technical documentation, presentations, and the ability to engage with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Customer-oriented mindset with proven Customer Service capabilities, including relationship management, issue resolution, and follow-up.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Bioprocess, Instrumentation, or related field) or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical processing systems, cGMP requirements, and validation concepts is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel to client sites as needed, manage multiple opportunities in parallel, and work collaboratively with cross-functional internal teams.
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic CRM usage for tracking leads and opportunities.
